Filipino American History Month

Join us for a live virtual event
on Friday, October 4th at 10am PST

Join us in celebrating Filipino American History Month 2024 as we honor the Filipino American community's vibrant culture, history, and contributions. This year's theme, "Struggle, Resistance, Solidarity, and Resilience," reflects the enduring spirit of Filipino Americans, who have overcome systemic oppression and adversity while fighting for justice and equality. From moments of struggle and resistance to powerful acts of solidarity, the resilience of the Filipino American community has shaped a legacy of strength and unity. As we commemorate this rich history, we also celebrate the collective joy, love, and pride that continues to define the Filipino American experience.

“For Filipino Americans, it’s a battle for recognition, for identity in a culture where, for the mainstream, Asians tend to fade into a monochromatic racialized ‘other.’ ”

- Jose Antonio Vargas, Journalist, Filmmaker, and Immigration Rights Activist
